Tuesday, May 12, 2020 – PT Lippo General Insurance Tbk held a webinar titled “How to Boost Your Sales during the Pandemic” with James Gwee as the speaker who was heard by 173 participants (consisting of insurance agents and marketing).
Many people think that pandemics make sales decrease, in fact there are a number of things that can be done to increase sales during the pandemic, because in the midst of difficulties there are definitely opportunities and of course insurance is needed to cover / minimize uncertainty.
We must make a plan based on the time available, “Hope for the Best but also the Plan for the Worst” and most importantly be able to adapt. Because it is not the smart or the strongest who can survive, but the one who is quick to adapt quickly can survive in a situation like this.
In a pandemic, we must focus more, both in planning, and in focusing on customers. There are 5 ways you can capture customers:
- Existing customers can and must be maintained by us
- Call the customer
- Video call
- Gather 20 potential customers through zoom / other applications
- Ask for references
We also have to make a list of customers that we can prospect;
- Existing customers
- Customers who are difficult / turnover is already ½ than usual
- Customers who are currently harvesting because of this pandemic
Don’t forget to use the AIDA (Attention-Interest-Desire-Action) principle in the negotiation process with prospective customers. In this case, we must be able to attract people’s interest only with the initial sentence that we say even though communication is only by telephone.
The webinar lasts for 90 minutes and ends with a question and answer session with the speaker. This webinar is expected to provide insights to all participants in order to optimize sales during this difficult time.
